Arrest Reports

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests Aug. 17 - 23. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department

August 18

Dianna Pauline Queen, 42, of Franklin, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, failure to appear for shoplifting concealment. A secured bond of $1,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Preston Ross Hathcock, 35, of Patton Rd., was charged with injury to personal property. An unsecured bond of $2,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

August 19

Grady Claxton Powell Jr., 42, of Old Murphy Rd., was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Chanz J. Fritz made the arrest.

August 20

Anita Brandi Alderman, 29, of Cheek Rd., was charged with domestic violence protective order violation. An unsecured bond of $5,000 was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.

August 23

Jeffery Roger McConnell, 37, of Old Murphy Rd., was charged with failure to appear for breaking and entering, felony larceny. A secured bond of $30,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Franklin Police Department

August 18

Roberto Rojas Tovar, 35, of Stonewood Ln., was charged with possession of Methamphetamine. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Justin M. Norman made the arrest.

August 19

Shannon Duda Harrison, 23, of Eric Dr., was charged with larceny, obtaining money/property by false pretense. A secured bond of $4,500 was set. Tony E. Ashe made the arrest.

Eric Wayne Harrison, 24, of Golfview Dr., was charged with larceny, fraud for obtaining money/property by false pretense. A secured bond of $4,500 was set. Kevin J. Breedlove made the arrest.

Felix Andrade Renteria, 41, of Ranzy Crawford Rd., Sylva, was charged with failure to appear for buy/sell vehicle no license. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Jayro Alberto Faveia, 19, of Ranzy Crawford Rd., Sylva, was charged with failure to appear for driving after consuming under 21. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

August 22

David James Stamey, 22, of Courtney Ln., was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Joseph Daniel Toneges, 36, of Clyde St., was charged with assault and battery, larceny from a person, false imprisonment. a secured bond of $2,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Latasha Nicole Carter, 23, of Clyde St., was charged with driving while license revoked. a secured bond of $500 was set. Elija D. Kirkland made the arrest..

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

August 17

David Allen Hopkins, 55, of Whiskey Ridge, Whittier, was charged with resist/obstruct/delay, communicating threats. A $2,000 bond was set. Megan L. Rhinehart made the arrest.

Cory Clyde Case, 26, of Huckleberry Cove, was charged with drug violations, paraphernalia, parole and probation violations. No bond was set. Van E. Anthony made the arrest.

August 18

Robin Smith Burleson, 32, of Omah Ln., Arden, was issued an order for arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. No bond was set. Daniel B. Wellmon made the arrest.

August 19

Stuart Lee Coggins, 44, of Zeb Alley Rd., Cashiers, was charged with escape from custody or resisting arrest, drug violations for equipment/paraphernalia, possession/ concealing, possession of methamphetamine. A $6,000 bond was set. Daniel B. Wellmon made the arrest.

Rogelio Torres Rebuera, 35, of Crystal Springs Trail, Cashiers, was charged with resist/obstruct/delay a sheriff deputy, second degree trespass. A $1,000 bond was set. Dwight D. McMahan made the arrest.

August 20

Cora Lynn Sanders Crowe, 48, of Towstring Rd., Cherokee, was charged with simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. No bond was set. Kenneth D. Woodring made the arrest.

Randall Wayne Banfield, 47, of Waynesville, was issued a true bill of indictment for failure to appear in court for failure to carry valid drivers license, driving while license revoked, fictitious information to an officer, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule VI substance, resisting a public officer, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 ounce. A $142,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest.

Elicio Snachez George, 19, of Leyla Court, was charged with failure to appear. A $6,000 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest.

August 21

Charlene Anita McCoy, 44, of Mother Goose Ln., Cullowhee, was charged with simple physical assault. No bond was set. Zachary D. Gibbs made the arrest.

Jose Salvador Garcia, 49, of Mother Goose Ln., Cullowhee, was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Zachary D. Gibbs made the arrest.

Carolyn Marie Bailey, 56, of Sunset Farms Rd., Whittier was charged with communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. No bond was set Andrew J. Parker.

Rashonda Lasae Bradley, 27, of Dills Branch Rd., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of methamphetamine. A $8,000 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

August 23

Michael Dewayne Putman, 31, Stome Mountain Rd., Cullowhee, was charged with larceny. No bond was set. Earnest A. Scherman III made the arrest.

Austin Eugene Langley, 20, of Heady Mountain, Cashiers, was charged with communicating threats, assault on a female. A $10,000 bond was set. Scottie R. Holder made the arrest.
