The Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests January 27 - February 2. Note that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Office

January 29

Chad Keith Shuler, 36, of Iotla Valley, was issued a true bill of indictment for maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possesion with intent to sell and/or distribute methamphetamine and possesion of methamphetamine. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. Victor Perry made the arrest.

January 30

Ardelio Gutierrez Flores, 39, of Siler Road, was charged with misdemeanor child abuse. No bond was set. D. Burrows made the arrest.

Frank Anthony Mercado, 26, of Woodland Hills Drive, was charged with possession of a schedule IV substance. A secured bond of $20,000 was set. Scott Nelson made the arrest.    James Vermon Shears, 80, of Forest Avenue was charged with indecent liberties with a child. A secured bond of $50,000 was set. Jeffrey Dumford made the arrest.

January 31

Joshua Bruce Watts, 32, of John Housk Road, was charged with contempt of court, perjury and court violations. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Anthony Hopkins made the arrest.

Daniel Whitfield Reynolds, 48, of Delia Road, was charged with parole violations. A secured bond of $4,000 was set. Ryan Angel made the arrest.

Ian Sloan Nixon, 27, of Hemlock Hills, was charged with driving while license revoked and exceeding a safe speed. A secured bond of $12,000 was set. Patrick Merritt made the arrest.

Febuary 1

Nolan Rogers, 26, of Coweeta Lab Road, was charged with contempt of court, perjury, court violations and failure to pay child support. A secured bond of $3,649 was set.

Febuary 2

Richard Allen Cseh, 52, of Fairview Lane, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $8,000 was set. Jeffrey Dumford made the arrest.

Febuary 3

Nichole Queen Bates, 31, of Addington Villas, was charged with burglary, larceny and possessing and/or concealing stolen property. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Tracy Burt made the arrest.

Louis Henry Atwood, 31, of Mountain Brook Way, was charged with parole and probation violations. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Dereck Jones made the arrest. Febuary 4

Michael Jason Gilbert, 27, of Youns Mountain Road, was charged with larceny, possession of stolen property and fraud by obtaining money and/or property by a false pretense. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Mike Langley made the arrest.

Kyle Jordan Jenkins, 18, of West Old Murphy Road, was charged with assault by pointing a gun and disorderly conduct. A unsecured bond of $5,000 was set. Joel Lynch made the arrest.

Franklin Police Department

January 27

Paul Michael Swafford, 46, of Skeenah Road, was charged with possession on methamphetamine, drug violations and possession of equipment and/or paraphernalia. A secured bond of $3,000 was set. Justin Norman made the arrest.

Nichole Tabitha Bates a.k.a Nichole Queen, 31, of Punch Bowl Drive was charged with driving while license revoked and suspended tag. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Justin Norman made the arrest.

January 28

Frank Anthony Mercado, 26, of Woodland Hills Drive, was charged with trespassing. A secured bond of $1,500 was set. Timothy Lynn made the arrest.

January 30

Michael L. Alford, 54, of Franklin, was charged with larceny shoplifting and possessing and/or concealing stolen property. A secured bond of $500 was set. Timothy Lynn made the arrest.

David George Collins, 18, of Green Street, was charged with assault by strangulation, assault on a female and false imprisonment. No bond was set. Brett Holcombe made the arrest.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

January 28

Amber Michelle Blount, 22, of West Market Street, was charged with probation violation. A secured bond was set. Andrew Parker made the arrest.

Steven Louis Broom, 34, of Caney Fork, was charged with aggravated assault. No bond was set. Dwight McMahan made the arrest.

January 29

Laura Margaret Kiddy, 26, of Star Dust Motel, was charged with larceny of a firearm. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Ricky Buchanan made the arrest. Charles Vincent Sutton, 52, of Fawn Drive, was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Stephen Watson made the arrest.

David Reuben Fowler, 27, of Liberty Church Road, was issued a true bill of indictment. No bond was set. Michael Brooks made the arrest.

James Michael Bradley, 57, of Riverview Road, was charged with possession of stolen goods and/or property, larceny after breaking and entering and breaking and entering. Kenneth Woodring made the arrest.

Samantha Christine Bradley, 24, of Camp Creek Road, was charged with injury to personal property. No bond was set. Sean Bryson made the arrest.

Justin Ryan Shell, 22, of Annies Road, was charged with drug violations for equipment/paraphernalia and possessing/ concealing, possession of marijuana up to a half ounce, failure to appear in court and driving while license revoked. Michael Brooks made the arrest.

January 30

Christopher Harold McMahan, 39, of Lee Bumbarner Road, was charged with possession and/or concealing stolen property. A secured bond of $6,000 was set. Charles Crisp made the arrest.

January 31

Rex Allen Patterson, 29, of Low Gap Court, was charged with probation violation. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Tyson Crawford made the arrest.

Joseph Greg Johnson, 46, of North College Street, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, uttering a forged instrument and forgery of an instrument. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. David Lovedahl made the arrest.

Jackie Lynn Beck, 35, of Stella Teesatuski, was charged with possessing stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering and breaking and entering. A secured bond of $64,000 was set. Crystal Green made the arrest.

Amy Louise Smart, 39, of Dark Ridge Road, was charged with second degree trespassing. A written agreement was made. Andrew Parker made the arrest.

James Adam Brooks, 30, of Mimosa Lane, was charged with damage to personal property and assault on a female. A written agreement was made. Andrew Parker made the arrest.

Raylita Dawn Long, 20, of Big Witch Road, was charged with breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle, financial card theft and larceny in action. A secured bond of $6,000 was set. Robert Nicholson made the arrest.

Febuary 2

Roy Richard Pfund, 44, of First Rate Drive, was charged with breaking and entering and assault on a female. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Michael Brooks made the arrest.
