Arts & Entertainment “Who's Got Talent?” lights up the stage

“Who’s Got Talent,” Franklin’s answer to “American Idol,” hit the stage Tuesday night at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts.

Audience members voted for their favorites and prize money was awarded for first, second and third place winners.

The evening was aptly emceed by veterans Patti McClure and Scotty Corbin.

 

 

 

Co-emcee Patti McClure congratulates The Gravitating Mongeese who were the $300 first place winners with a dance/kung fu routine. Members are Adam Kakos, Timothy McAllister, Matt Rochester, and Brett Schultz.The $200 second place winners were Tyler Williams, instrumentalist, and Ashley Davis, singer, who performed “Wait a Minute.”Hattie McQuitty performed “When She Loved Me.”Third place winners, BSOD Force, a clogging group, performed “Rocky Top,” winning $100.Eric McQuitty, singer/songwriter/pianist perform an original song, “About You.”Brad Barrett, singer/guitarist performed “Dreamer.”Violinist Sam McQuitty presented “Pirates of the Caribbean.”Whirlybird Dancers Forest Bird, Meadow Bird, River Bird and Sky Bird perform “Hey.”Debra Smith sang “He Came Looking For Me.”Potterstone added a little gospel flavor to the evening with “The Lion, The Lamb and The King.” Members are Debra Austin, Jay Hall, and Pat Higgins.Michelle and Nathan Libasci, singers/dancers, performed “Sway.”
