Arts & Entertainment Pianist/pastor Tommy Jordan plays the classics

Pianist Tommy Jordan presented a program of popular classics from Broadway and the movies last Sunday, June 2, in the sanctuary of Franklin’s First United Methodist Church.

Selections included familiar favorites such as Henry Mancini’s “The Pink Panther” and Hoagy Carmichael’s “Georgia On My Mind,” along with a set of patriotic tunes and others.

Jordan is the pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. This program is presented by the Arts Council, with funding from the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
