Arts & Entertainment Jammin’ in Franklin

Macon Grass performed at Pickin’ on the Square Saturday night. Pickin’ happens every Saturday night, May through October. Open mic at 6:30 p.m., and main concert begins at 7:30. Next week, the J.W. Band will performing. Photos by Betsey GooderGuitars, fiddlers, cloggers and singers entertained visitors and residents alike in downtown Franklin over the Memorial Day weekend.

At the gazebo on the square, local favorite C-Square performed on Friday night and bluegrass band Macon Grass performed Saturday.

Musicians also appeared in downtown cafes providing music with the evening’s refreshments.

 

 

At last week’s Pickin’ The Dixie Darling Dance Team put on a show. The Joe Pye Band played at Life’s Bounty on Friday night. C-Square presents “Freedom Rocks the Square”Tom Johnson played some old and new favorites on his guitar for the Rathskeller patrons on Friday night.
