Arts & Entertainment Gymnasts offer tribute to U.S. troops

Gymnasts at New Vision Gymnastics have been rehearsing for their upcoming performance called “Walking on the Stars!”

New Vision’s highest level athletes will pay tribute to our Troops and honor those who protect our liberty and allow our children to pursue their dreams.

They will also perform a story about standing against the darkness in a composition piece called “Freedom’s True Light.”

We invite all who would like to honor friends or family of those who have served or are currently serving in the military by bringing them to this performance.

This performance will be held at New Vision Gymnastics on Saturday, May 21, at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for students and adults alike and they will be available at the door. For more information call (828)524-1904.

Head Coach April Ostojic recently had two Junior Olympic gymnasts make it to Regionals.

This is a competition for the highest level gymnasts in eight states to represent their state. Shelby Moore, a level nine gymnast, qualified at Regionals to compete at the East Nationals held in Massachusetts just two weeks ago.

This event was for the top level nine contenders in the eastern half of the U.S.
