The Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts’ own resident theatre troupe, The Overlook Players, will present “Narnia” Aug. 4-6 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday, Aug. 7 matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10-$13.
Based on the beloved classic “Chronicles of Narnia” written by C.S. Lewis, this faithful two-act adaptation for the stage tells the tale of four young children who stumble through a wardrobe and into a mysterious world. Told here with a mix of live actors and puppets, Narnia will transport you to the most magical place you have ever been.
Narnia is directed by Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts Artistic Director, Scotty Corbin, who also performs as the vicious wolf, Fenris Ulf. The production stars Franklin favorites Samuel Crabtreee as Aslan the brave lion; Heather Lenox as the chilling White Witch with Rachel Alford as her Dwarf sidekick; Doug Egge and Nikki Corbin as Mr. and Mrs. Beaver; and T.J. Hanson, Kaley Davis, Sam McQuitty, and Sarah Talley as the four Pevensie children who enter the mysterious land of Narnia through an enchanted wardrobe.
