Grace Baptist Church is hosting a Special Service with Preacher Douglas Stauffer as the guest speaker on Sunday, July 20. He will be teaching on prophecy at the 10 a.m. service and will preach at the 11 a.m. service. Dr. Stauffer is an internationally recognized authority in the field of Bible history and defense, and is the author of "One Book Stands Alone." The church is located at 143 Setser Branch Road in Franklin.

Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 4 to 7 p.m. For more information, call (828)421-0613.

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Summer Give Away will be held Saturday, July 26; Saturday, Aug. 9; and Saturday, Aug. 23; from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The church is located at 142 Pleasant Hill Rd., in Franklin. First Presbyterian Church Historic Chapel will be open to the public every Thursday for visitation, prayer or meditation, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The chapel bell will ring the hour when it is opened. Church members will be present to answer questions or to assist in any way. The church is located at 26 Church St. in Franklin.
