Features Drake Software announces new VP of sales

Rocky PattilloFranklin native Rocky Pattillo has been named Drake Software’s new Vice President of Sales. Pattillo has been in sales for almost 20 years, serving as Assistant Director of Sales for Drake Software from 2005-2008 and Software Sales Director since 2008.

As head of Drake’s national sales department, Pattillo is responsible for the strategic positioning of the firm in the accounting software industry, targeting tax preparation businesses of all sizes. He is also in charge of the management and coordination of the company’s sales force.

“One of my primary goals as the new head of sales is to streamline our approach to obtaining new customers while growing the business in an ever changing industry,” said Pattillo. “Our industry faces some challenges in the future,” continued Pattillo. “The key to successfully addressing these challenges is involving good people. That is where we have an advantage - Drake has some of the top people in the business.”

Pattillo graduated with a BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina-Asheville. He went on to complete a Masters program in Insurance, as well as a marketing development training program. After a stint in the insurance industry in Minneapolis, Minn., Pattillo returned to his mountain home to raise his family.

Pattillo now resides in Franklin, with wife Pam and children Quinton and Madison.
