Features Modern Barbershop reopens in Franklin

The shop is located at 183 Highlands Road next door to where Smoky Mountain Bicycles was located before moving to Main Street. After a 10-year hiatus, Steve Waldroop is joining with Jessica Keneipp and Laura O’Neill to reopen the shop. The original shop opened in 1961 by the Waldroop Brothers and was on Palmer Street.

Open six days a week, men’s haircuts are still just $10, with seniors and military receiving a 10 percent discount. Walk-ins are welcome. Shop hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
