Features Cash mobsters attack at Mossy Oak on Main Street

Venture Local Franklin's cash mob stormed Mossy Oak on Main Street recently.

With 44 mobsters, members of the community pledged to spend $20 at the locally owned business.

The idea of the cash mobs is to encourage the community to support Franklin's small, locally owned businesses by spending their money ($20 minimum commitment), en masse, to give the business owner a little bit of an economic boost.

Photos by Bob ScottMartha Holbrooks, owner of Mossy Oak, donated a percentage of the cash mob sales to the Franklin High School Band as her way of “paying it forward.”

The next cash mob is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at Robyn B, a children's clothing store located on Main Street.

Businesses selected as locations for cash mobs are randomly drawn at the end of each mob and are the suggestions of those in attendance.
