Features Liberty Tax Service of Franklin gives to CareNet

CareNet is located at 130 Bidwell St. in Franklin.Liberty Tax Service of Franklin contributed $250 to Macon County Care Network (CareNet) on Monday, March 10.

The donation is part of an ongoing fundraiser by Liberty Tax to provide assistance to the nonprofit organization for its many community programs.

Through the April 15 filing deadline, customers at Liberty Tax can get a $25 discount and request that another $25 is contributed to CareNet.

With its slogan “Bridging the Gap in Times of Crisis,” Macon County Care Network (CareNet) operates a Food Pantry and the CareNet Thrift Store, runs the BackPack Program for children each year, distributes the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), and operates the CareNet Soup Cafe.

CareNet also offers Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday Boxes to those in need. And as a measure of last resort for many, CareNet has a Financial Assistance Program based on need and availability of funds.
