At the upcoming Nov. 12, Ladies Night Out Program, the topic will be Lung Cancer. Most people know that smoking causes cancer, but may not realize how many nonsmokers get lung cancer, too. Every year, 16,000 to 24,000 Americans die of lung cancer, even though they have never smoked. In fact, if lung cancer in nonsmokers had its own category, it would rank among the top 10 fatal cancers in the United States.
This program will be held two times this date in the cafeteria at AMC. One will be at 4 p.m. and one will be at 6:30 p.m. The same presentation will be given at both meetings. All women are invited to attend one of these meetings and are asked to encourage all the women in their life over the age of 13 years, to attend with them.
