News Community Daybreak Rotary helping Community Care Clinic

Jerry Hermanson and Sherry Tallent recently presented information on the Franklin Community Care Clinic which opened in May 2010.

The clinic offers patients basic primary care by volunteer physicians and midlevel providers treating minor injuries, episodic problems and chronic conditions. All patients must meet two requirements:

1) must have no insurance coverage whatsoever

and

2) be at or below 150 percent of the federal proverty guidelines with eligibility being determined at the first visit.

The Community Care Clinic is open on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5 to 9 p.m. at the Macon County Health Department.
