Before opening the February meeting of the Macon County Board of Commissioners, Chairman Kevin Corbin took time to honor a special member of the community.
For more than 60 years, JC Jacobs has been a business owner and active member of the Macon County community.
First opening up the Twins’ Shop, then 55 years ago, opening up People's Department Store. Jacobs has created jobs and touched lives in Macon County for decades.
At the end of 2012, Jacobs announced that he would be be closing the doors at People's for the very last time.
