News Community MCHA members compete in Sunday horse show

Photos by Travis TallentMembers of the Macon County Horse Association (MCHA) gathered at the Macon County Fairgrounds to show off their horses and their handling and riding skills.

Participants of all ages were allowed to compete, with children 13 and under considered to be in the Junior class.

Participants ages 14 and older were in the Open class. MCHA members compete for show points for end of the year awards.

A variety of events ranged from Egg and Spoon, Western Horsemanship, Texas Barrels and more.

The Macon County Horse Association meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Macon County Fair Grounds Alumni Building.

Upcoming shows are scheduled for June 2 and Sept. 15 at the fairgrounds. Shows start at 12 noon.
