Ann Melton, author of “I Will Lift Up My Eyes,” will be having a book signing at Dalton’s Christian Books Friday, Aug. 23, from 12 to 3 p.m. and at Books Unlimited from 5 to 8 p.m.
In this book you will read true stories of what Melton calls “God’s unlimited power.”
“In these personal stories you can see how prayer and praise direct God’s power into your life,” said Melton. “Discover how prayer can reenergize you; renew your spirit, mind, and body; and provide healing. These stories have a message of hope as they illustrate how prayer can calm the storms in your life and leave you better able to cope with the stresses of day-to-day living.”
Melton is a retired public school educator, retiring as superintendent of Madison County Schools in 2000. She the mother of two and the grandmother of five. “I Will Lift Up My Eyes” is her 14th book. Her other books were non-fiction dealing with historical and/or genealogical subject matter or were books of fiction. This is her first non-fiction inspirational book relating true stories.
“I have recorded these stories in an effort to glorify God and to help others on their journey. I believe that we are all travelers along a difficult road and that as Christians we have a responsibility to help others in their journey. If this book helps even one person, I have achieved my goal,” said Melton.
