News Community Cummins graduates from Naval Academy

Greg CumminsGreg Cummins, a 2009 graduate of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla., graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on May 24. During his time at Lincoln, Cummins was an AP and honors student as well as a four-year member of the NJROTC unit.

In his four years at the U.S. Naval Academy, he has served in a number of leadership positions including: Company Squad Leader, Company Financial Officer, Company Honor Advisor, Weapons Detail Coach, and Plebe Summer Detailer. Cummins also had the opportunity to study abroad by means of an economics internship at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom and a language immersion program at the Goethe-Institut in Berlin, Germany. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics having maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA.

Cummins will commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy and will serve as a Naval Flight Officer upon completion of flight school.

Cummins is the grandson of Tom and Nancy LeMieux who reside in Franklin.
