News Community Vietnam vets holds 24th reunion in Franklin

These veterans served together in Cu Chi, Vietnam in 1967-1968, and they try to get together in one of the veterans' home town or close by each year.

Sam and Patti McClure hosted this event this year for the third time.

While visiting in Macon County, the group visited many local sights such as Dry Falls, Wayah Bald, Rose Creek Ruby Mine, Bill Fuchs’ Taxidermy and spent the last day in Macon County enjoying a picnic at Cliffside Lake.

The 25th Reunion will be held in Hot Springs, Ark., in September 2014.
