News Community Spooks come out for Halloween in the Park

Despite the threat of rain and the chilly temperatures, Macon County’s 2013 Halloween in the Park saw between 2,000- 2,500 children.

According to Macon County Recreation Director Seth Adams, attendance was down this year, which he attributes to the poor weather and the number of activities scheduled throughout the evening around the county.

Thirty businesses, churches and organizations had booths set up to deliver candy to all the ghosts, goblins, princesses and superheroes that attended the event.
