Members of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and Town of Franklin held a ribbon cutting ceremony recently to celebrate the grand reopening of the new location of Peppermint Patti’s Ice Cream & Sweets at 712 Highlands Road (across from the Franklin Flea Market).
Now starting their fourth season, owners Eric and Patti Koch are excited about being in a larger and more comfortable shop. In the new location, there are four distinct seating areas to enjoy a cone or treat: The inside spacious and relaxing dining room, the rocking chair porch, the Sunset Gazebo (provided by Goshen Timber Frames) and the party picnic tables.
Not only do they serve more than 20 flavors of delicious hand-dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream, but they also offer handmade waffle cones, and waffle bowls, sundaes, ice cream floats, 100 percent fruit smoothies, chocolates, candies and cookies. New on the menu this year, are low-calorie and no sugar added treats, and the “Meeting for Drinks?” selections for group get-togethers. For a real treat, order your own special ice cream creation from their “Cold Stone Experience.” Birthday parties and celebrations are always welcomed.
Hours of operation are seven days a week (this includes Sundays and all holidays), from noon to 8 p.m. As summer approaches, the hours will be extended to 9 p.m.
