News Community ‘Friends’ raise funds for Scottish museum

Bob McMaster, treasurer of the Friends of the Scottish Museum, presents a check for $1,125 raised at the First Appeal to assist the museum, to director Jim Akin.

Those responding to the appeal as well include Linda Henderson Morrow, John and Jean Hays, Warren Riley, Bob and Joanne Poindexter, Mildred Everest, Lewis Penland, Patti McClure, Wayne and Mary Miller, Bob Litten, Mathilda and Aubrey Bohanon, Merrillee Bryson Boudreux, Jill and John Risk, John and Diana Fraser, June Hunter and Dave and Marti Patterson.

The funds were given at the April 1 meeting, a covered dish dinner event to highlight “Tartan Day.”

Jennifer Love offered a harp concert and lecture.
