The Jackson County Green Energy Park has become an important and vibrant part of the community, combining renewable energy and art education in ways that everyone can enjoy and appreciate. But in order to continue operating and moving forward, the GEP will need a lot of volunteer help. To make that happen, a “Friends of the Green Energy Park” organization is being formed.
A public meeting is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in the new Jackson County Senior Center off Webster Road near SCC. An overview of the current operations of the Green Energy Park will be presented, along with longterm and short-term future plans, and talk about the future form of the GEP.
