News Education FHS tech students place at SkillsUSA competition

Pictured are (front row, L-R) Justin McClure, Kory Emory, Shannon Crisp, Danielle Collins, Adam Queen, Ansley Taylor, Kaitlyn Norton; (back row) Shawn McCall, Chris Southard, Charlie Bell, Bobby Parrish, Austin Lewis and Anthony Comesanas.Recently a group of Franklin High School Career and Technical Education students participated in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition held at Blue Ridge Community College where several students placed in the following: 1st place Jobs Skills Demo; 1st place in Debate; 1st , 3rd and 5th in Welding; 2nd in Automotive; 4th and 5th in Carpentry; 1st in Promotional Bulletin Board.

The group also travelled to the State Competition in Greensboro and hopefully on to Nationals in the summer.
