Opinion Letters Well done, ladies of Auxiliary Post 108

Well, Christmas is around the bend, but I want to give a huge “well done” to the Ladies Auxillary Post 108 of the American Legion in Franklin.

Last year these caring women spent untold hours and at their expense sent thousands of Christmas cards to our troops overseas and troops stateside.

Now it's a new year and these wonderful ladies are off and running to out-do last year’s record sending Christmas cards to our troops.

I would like to say thank you from all of the Legion members of Post 108, as a veteran getting a Christmas card when you’re away from your family is a welcome gift. Again, "Well done ladies."

Bill Trapani — Franklin, N.C.
