During their conference openers against Brevard, both the mens’ and womens’ varsity basketball teams dominated the Blue Devils on the court.

The varsity girls continued their winning streak out-scoring Brevard with a final score of 77-35.

The varsity boys controlled the board and beat the Blue Devils 62-47.

Other sports:

Franklin High School’s swim teams competed against Smoky Mountain on Saturday, December 8 and won 16 out of 22 events. The Lady Panthers beat the Mustangs 95.5 to 74.5. FHS boys also beat Smoky Mountain 108 to 54.

The FHS wrestling team travelled to Tuscola last Saturday to compete in a tournament. Jimmy Briggs went 5-0 taking first place, with teammates Chris Richards, Dustin Smith and Tristian Davis going 4-1 and finishing second. Jackson Roper finished 3-2 taking third place.
