Photos by Travis TallentThe Franklin Panthers Baseball Team took on the East Henderson Eagles Tuesday at Macon Middle School.

The Panthers looked to get back in the win column after suffering their last loss at home against Smoky Mountain, but this game would not be the one to put them there.

The Eagles were able to put up runs in each inning except for two, while the Panthers only scored in two, the 5th and the 7th. It wasn't enough to keep Franklin in the game falling, 11-3.

The Panthers took on the North Buncombe Black Hawks in an away game yesterday and will travel again Friday when they play the West Henderson Falcons.

The Franklin High School Softball team also played Tuesday night when they hosted East Henderson.

The Lady Panthers dominated the game from the first inning when they scored 11 runs. The Ladies maintained that pace until the end, when they sealed the win, 20-2.

This makes two consecutive wins for Franklin who most recently beat Smoky Mountain. Before that win, they had gone on a two game skid, but are now looking at a 6-2 record.

The team will also travel Friday when they take on West Henderson.

The FHS boys tennis team plays today (Thursday). They will be hosting the Rabun Gap Nacoochee School Eagles.

The Franklin Women's Varsity Soccer Team also plays today when they travel to Highlands.
