MCSC U14 Storm comes up short in Asheville

The U14 Storm came up one goal short against an evenly matched HFC Black team on April 6, losing 4-3 in a back-andforth scoring duel against the Asheville team. Angel Chavez found the net twice for the Storm, matched each time with a goal by HFC Black. Caleb Scott scored a header off of a corner kick from Omar Arellano to put the Storm ahead, 3-2. A collision with the Black goalkeeper sent Chavez to the side late in the second half, and a surge by the Black resulted in two more goals for the win.

The Storm play their final game of the regular season against HSA White in Franklin on Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m.

MCSC U16 Panthers regain form

With back to back road games and a roster restored from injury and suspension, the U16 Panthers had a loss and a big win on the road. The Panthers lost their first game 4-2 on March 23 against RCSA Rutherford Rumble, but regained some swagger with a big win against PRAA Harrisburg the following weekend. The Panthers poured in eight goals against the Harrisburg team, with two goals each from Riggi Hernandez, Kyle Knop, Francisco Licona, and Arturo Lopez.

The Panthers will finish their regular season at home against HFC Black on Saturday, April 13, at noon, and will compete in the Kepner President's State Cup on April 27 and 28.
