The Lady Panthers volleyball team has had an up and down season. They've almost split their wins with their losses, but on Monday night, they got a huge win over their rival, Smoky Mountain. The crowd from both sides turned the stands pink for Pink Night in honor of those who have been affected by breast cancer.
Franklin started out strong, winning the first game. The second game went a bit differently when the Mustangs shot ahead with a significant lead. Franklin, not to be outdone, battled back and in the highlight of the night, ended up winning the second game 26-24. In the third game, the Mustangs once again took an early lead, but Franklin kept it close before taking the lead less than halfway through the game. They held on to a modest lead until the end, closing out the match 3-0 for a much needed win.
Today, the Lady Panthers will travel to North Henderson to take on the 15-3-1 Knights.
